This is the most drought tolerant and hardy turf-type tall fescue available. Tested throughout the USA and blended for southern California's dry weather, this sod will stay green year-round while providing a durable lawn. Performance Tall Fescue is also very shade tolerant, requiring as little as four hours of direct sunlight for good plant health. All varieties in our Performance Tall Fescue blend are Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance certified. This is not recommended for the lower elevation desert climates, as it will use more water than bermudagrass, paspalum, or St. Augustine.

Our own proven variety of St. Augustine. Performance St. Augustine has been selected from the best performing grasses in Southern California, Performance is a semi-dwarf St. Augustine grass and is our best performer in shady conditions. Performance St. Augustine also thrives in full sunlight and is the most heat-tolerant of all St. Augustine cultivars. It has a coarse texture with a soft leaf and makes a stunning bright green turf. St Augustines should be mowed with a sharp rotary mower. This is a low water use St. Augustine that will thrive in shade conditions with as little as four hours of direct sunlight.

This is quickly becoming the most popular turf variety in San Diego County. It has great salt tolerance, good drought tolerance, dark green color, and will handle a wide range of mowing heights. Aloha has been tested for more than 10 years in San Diego. Aloha is a great grass for coastal homes and golf courses, and will still thrive inland to the lower deserts.

TifTuf

The most drought tolerant hybrid bermudagrass we have ever seen, this is one tough grass! The newest grass to be developed out of the University of Georgia research program, this is their crown jewel. TifTuf is dark green, fine textured, and yet can survive on 30% less water than the best hybrid bermudagrasses. It looks much like Tifway and can be used to replace or repair Tifway. TifTuf also has improved winter color and will green up quicker in the spring than other bermudas. It can be mowed with a reel mower or a sharp rotary mower.

Latitude 36

A hybrid Bermuda that grows better in cool weather than any other hybrid. Latitude 36 has become the new standard for sports fields, especially in the transition zone. Latitude 36 is fine textured, dark green, and has great wear tolerance. This is the best choice for athletic fields and high traffic areas. Latitude 36 should be mowed with a reel mower, but can be mowed with a sharp rotary mower.
